The practice is ran by Matthew Lee, who has over ten years experience working within Architectural and Planning. Matthew is a Chartered Architectural Technologist (MCIAT), a protected title granted by the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT) demonstrating he is experienced, qualified and competent to offer a full range of architectural services from inception to completion. The practice is also registered with CIAT.
Matthew worked within a Co. Durham based Architectural and Town Planning Consultancy since being taken on as a junior at the age of 16, and completed seven years of continuous part time study alongside his employment to obtain his qualifications. His experience of projects is largely based around domestic and residential projects; although he has experience of working on industrial, commercial, educational and community projects. Matthew's training has involved the completion of two construction related courses; a HNC in Construction with Distinction was obtained prior to graduating Northumbria University with a First Class Honours Degree in Architectural Technology BSc (Hons).
In 2018, after ten years of work in practice, Matthew decided to set up his own practice with the ethos of a providing an approachable, friendly and professional business for clients seeking Architectural, Planning and Development advice and services. Matthew is a passionate individual when it comes to Architecture, always looking to ensure that the client's requirements are achieved to the highest of quality and standards. He is always happy to suggest new and innovative ideas at the design stage of a project. He is a huge believer of reducing the energy demands of buildings, and promotes the 'fabric first' approach, along with the use of renewable technologies and innovative/alternative methods of construction.
